““The key to either great purpose or great destruction lies in where we choose to sustain our focus. Knowing this fact should move us to jealously guard our intimacy with the Lord.”
by Bill Johnson Sr. Pastor, Bethel Church - Redding, CA : What do you focus on? Your family, yourself, your friends, your problems? What about God? Focused on Him recently? If we would spend less time focusing on things that we think are so important, and focus on what truly is important, our life's would be so much easier. God wants to have first place in our heart, and He definitely deserves that spot. But, does He have first place? Or, do you place Him in with everyone else? Our God is a jealous God, He wants time alone with us. He wants our minds and hearts totally focused upon Him when we have our prayer and devotion time, not on how quickly we can get finished, so we can watch television. When we are in church(Gods House), He wants our respect, full attention, and loving hearts. He does not care what time it is, so stop looking at your watch, and wondering where you are going for lunch. Get filled up on the precious bread of life, and drink from the living well. Get focused people!!

Hey There!
I got Mr. Linky up if you want to come on over and add your post.
You and I were practically on the same page this AM! Great Post!
Blessings.
GREAT ADVICE!! I need to get more focused too. Right now the hurricane has most of our thoughts but that should not get in the way of God at all. Hope you are feeling better today...
Boy, this is so true. Most people put almost everything under the sun before God. It is easy to fall into this trap too. There are so many things in this world to distract us from our true mission here.
Hey sweet friend! I thought you were taking a blogging break this week?
Wonderful thoughts on this week's quote.
Love you, my friend.
Isn't it interesting how folks put God in the back seat - and we are always in His front seat!
Great great thoughts, Denise! God is as jealous for us as we should be for Him! Love ya, girl. Your posts bless my heart.
Well said, my friend.
Hi, I guess I haven't been over for a day or two or three!! lol I didn't even know you were going to take a break and then didn't!!
I hope this morning you are feeling better and your health is improving! Sorry you have to go through so much.
This post is a good reminder of what is important!! Love, Grams
Focus is the bottom line, isn't it? How is it that we have trained ourselves into attention deficit disorder by trying to focus on too many things. A narrower focus always yields a sharper image.
Amen! Are you sure you're not a preacher? Wow! You just preached a sermom! In a lot less words than a pastor would too! lol.... I totally agree sister in Christ! thank you for this wonderful post.
OH MY WORD THAT WAS GOOD!!!
I love ya Denise. You are filled with Him every time you bless us with your words and your heart!!
God is good. I thank Him for you.
Love,
Fran
Can you re-post this every other week or so?! Such a needed reminder and encouragement. Thanks.
Just stopping in this morning to say Hi and that I love you.
Got some running to do....and remembering to focus on HIM.
He sees you....and He loves what you are doing to encourage His body. :)
ouch Denise! I'm sometimes guilty of looking at my watch too often. Thanks for the reminder.
