Hello sweet friends, time again to share our thankful hearts. I am so very thankful for all of you, you bless me more than you realize. I am thankful for your friendships, may you all forever be sweetly blessed. I am thankful for the vacation time that I enjoyed with my lovebug last week. I really needed to unwind, and destress. I am thankful for last Wednesday night, we went to our local amusement park. We had so much fun riding the rides, and walking around. When it got dark, they turned off all the lights, and shot off fireworks over the lake. As I stood there leaning against my lovebug, I felt so blessed. Knowing that he loves me so much, and that my Father God loves me just as I am, my heart was overflowing. The beautiful fireworks really touched my heart, I am so thankful to be living in America, and for my freedom. I am thankful for my nephew who proudly serves his country in the army, he is now serving his second term in Iraq. I am thankful for my nephew who proudly serves his country in the navy, he is currently in Afghanistan. I am thankful for all those men and women who so willingly, and bravely serve their country. May God bless them all, and keep them safe. As we were watching the fireworks, they started playing the song by Lee Greenwood called God bless the U.S.A., I have always loved that song. I started crying like a baby, because that song was played at my brothers funeral a few weeks ago. I miss him so very much, and always will. But, my heart filled with pride that night, as I remembered what a precious man my brother was. I am thankful to be his sister, now, and always.

What a beautiful list of blessings, dear. It touches my heart to read how lovingly you always talk about your hubby. Precious. I too am thankful for your nephew and the other men and women who serve our country's military. I love that although you cried thinking about your brother, you also rejoiced thinking about the wonderful man he was and the blessing of being his sister. Blessings, sweet one.

It sounds like a wonderful night you spent at the amusement park and the fireworks. What a special memory! I like your Precious Moments picture in your sidebar.
wow. Thank you Denise for sharing your grateful heart with us today. I am right there with you giving thanks for all the men and women who give so freely so we can be free. I have a son in the air force and he is getting ready to go overseas to Korea for a year. We heart leaps and I always cry when I hear that song too and actually I tear up anytime I see the american flag or hear the national anthem. Thank you for your sweet comment on my TT post and I am so blessed to hear you giving thanks in the midst of your sorrow! -Blessings, Laurie

Lovely post Denise!
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I have become addicted to this kind of stuff. Great thankful post also.
I love that song too. Funny thing, my brother-in-law is in Iraq and my mother-in-law bought a bear that sings "I'm proud to be an American". My 3-year old Brea does an interpretive dance to it every time we go to their house. The dance involves one of us lifting her up and twirling her around. The other day we were at our town's 4th of July parade and she heard the song. Her eyes lit up and you could see the wheels turning in her head!
Thanks for sharing Denise!Glad you had a great time with your hubby. I'm so grateful also for our freedom and for our military men and women. Have a great weekend.
