Cafe Chat

What is one woman from the Bible that you can relate to, and explain why you relate to her? : I feel that I can definitely relate to Mary, sister of Lazarus. I know that if Jesus came to my home for a visit, all I would want to do the entire visit is sit at His precious feet. At His feet, is where I know I would glean many pearls of wisdom. Just to sit there, looking at, and listening to my dear Saviour, such a foretaste of heaven divine. What a special blessing it would be to be able to pour sweet smelling perfume over His beautiful feet, my tears of love and happiness would mingle in with the perfume. To be that close to the One I love with everything I am, such joy I have never known. But, one day soon, we will all stand in His presence. How I long for that day.

I am not all Mary...and I am not all Martha. I think I would sit at his feet but after awhile want to fix Him something to eat too! LOL! You bless me as well dear sister! Hugs to you!

Hi Denise,

Mary is one woman I really admire...the ability to be still and just bask in the presence of the Lord is priceless! God bless you and give you more precious moments with him.

Praise God for giving you Mary's heart. One who knows what matters most.

I'm thankful for your love for Jesus. Pour that perfume on his feet anytime. He's near. He loves you.

Oh my....I'm not so sure I'd know which woman of the Bible I could relate to as myself. That's very difficult. But oh such and intriguing question. I'll be thinking about this all day.

I would probably be Martha. I have always said that I am the martha type so that would be it. I would be getting everything done and everyone else would be getting the good benefits while I puttered around making sure all was okay. Boy would I lose out. Sandy

Maybe Ruth. She had such an amazing strong faith. One that was never failing. Even though she went through so much.

Oh, AMEN to this post, sister! To be able to sit at His feet and learn of Him. What a glorious day that will be when we can gather around His throne and worship Him in total abandon.

I love your heart, my friend.

I had to grin as I read this! I can SOOO see you as Mary! It is part of your loveable appeal!

I am stumped by the question though, I think Ruth. Which is sort of a weird pick, but, if I was picking me, she is most like me or I am most like her-something like that.

Thanks, Denise!

xoxo,
Maria
