Thankful Thursday-My Brother

I cannot believe that one week ago, I was attending my brothers funeral. My heart is still deeply saddened, the grief is still very fresh. I will always remember him, and cherish the memories. This thankful Thursday is dedicated to my dear brother Charles. I am forever thankful for:1)The blessing of being his little sister. 2)His smile, it always made me smile. 3) His laughter, unforgettable. 4)The way he loved his wife, and two children. They were his world, he was such a wonderful husband, and father. 5) The way he lived life to the fullest, and he was so full of life. 6)The way he loved to ride his motorcycle, nothing he enjoyed more. He is now riding all over heaven, with our sweet momma. 7) The way he loved his country, he was so proud to be an American. 8) The kindness he so willingly showed to others. 9)He never met a stranger, he had so many friends. 10) The heart prints that he left behind on so many peoples lives. I love you Charles, always have, and forever will. I miss you so very much already. I am so very sorry that this happened to you, but God needed you more than we did. I am so glad that you will no longer have to deal with the disease that took your life, diabetes. You are free from its grip, fly my angel fly.

Denise, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. At the same time, I am glad that your brother has a new body, one free of disease. Praying for God's peace and comfort to sustain you while you travel through this journey of grief. He has you in the palm of His hand and He understands EVERY emotion you feel. Not only that, He is BIG enough to handle those emotions -- even the ugliest of them. (((hugs)))

Denise, I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your beloved brother. What a wonderful thing that you find praise and a grateful heart even in the midst of your troubled heart. That is very pleasing to the Lord. Sometimes we need to not ask the question WHY but ask HOW can we praise you in this situation Lord? -Peace and blessings to you, Laurie

Thank you for sharing this. I' sorry for your loss. I'm thankful this Thursday that our God died on the cross so you can see you Mom and brother again, and I can see my Dad and others.

Oh Denise this grieves my heart so much and I am truly sorry for the loss of your wonderful brother Charles though as you say he no longer has to suffer. Your aMazing spirit, inspite of your burden of heaviness and grief, is a tremendous tribute to honor a great person...your precious brother and friend! Those 10 memories on your list are indeed worded beautifully...I love how you spoke of the heart prints he left and how all were his friends, he never met a stranger...how aMazing. I pray that the Holy Spirit holds you and brings you comfort! So sweet your words and love for him! God speed Charles but take it easy on your cycle with your momma! How freeing! Be blessed and find strength and comfort as you heal and grieve!
