Live Well Wednesday

Hello dear friends, I pray that you are all doing well in your journey to better health and weight loss. It has been a rough journey for me recently with the sudden, and very unexpected death of my big brother on June 8. He was only 55 years old, and in good health except for type 1 diabetes. This has really made me think about my own health, since I too am a type 1 diabetic. His blood sugar dropped, and they could not revive him. They said even if they could have revived him, he would have had major brain damage due to the fact that he had been unconscious for so long. When this happens to a diabetic, it is called bottoming out, or having a reaction. I have experienced this myself, it is very scary. When it happens, I feel like I am fading out. All I want to do is go to sleep, due to the fact that my body is trying to shut down. I am determined, with Gods help to stay in as much control of my diabetes as I possibly can. I am going to continue on my journey to living well. Ladies, we can succeed. God is our biggest cheerleader. So, go ladies go!!!

This is beautiful, Denise! I am so proud of you for this decison. I know you have a lot of health issues but just like weight loss and dieting, diabetes takes discipline. You are such a dear friend and you are always encouraging others. We all love you and want you to be the best and healthiest that you can. I'm cheering for your decision and so is our Heavenly Father.

You can do it! If God took a
Ding Dong, cereal eating high carb addict with hypoglycemia( precursor to diabetes) who never ate vegetables into a raw vegan...He can help you. Praying for you sister! You go!
