Sunday Praise And Worship

Today’s Sunday Praise and Worship verse is:
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.” (
Romans 1:16): I could never be ashamed of the gospel of Christ, it is the most powerful tool in the world. It holds the key to life, death, love, compassion, faith, and precious salvation. It is the most beautiful love story ever written, and it was written especially for all of us. It is the only road map you ever need to follow, it will lead you to a beautiful eternal home. I will always be thankful for the gospel of Christ, for it is what sustains me.

Hi Denise. Thank you for your thoughtful comments on my blog. I agree with today's post. Why should we ever be ashamed of the gospels. But, I know I'M guilty of not presenting the gospel at times because I don't want to be ridiculed or laughed at. I think even the best of us are always working on that. Oh to have a heart like John the Baptist who realized that spreading the Word was worth the torment of being ridiculed. I'm still a work in progress.

I've spent most of my life reading only from the New Testament. This past year, I've been studying some of the Old Testament books. And what an adventure that has been. There is so much drama and so many spiritual lessons found in the Old Testament, too. Events that took place thousands of years ago can apply to today.

I noticed you were from Chattanooga. When I graduated in 1984 from High school my choices then for school were either Tennessee Temple University or Bob Jones. I ended up at the latter.

I always like to go up to Missionary Ridge..the view was awesome.
