Miracle Monday

April 16, 1999 my momma had surgery to remove an aneurysm from the base of her brain. During the surgery, things took a turn for the worse. She started bleeding in her brain, and she had a stroke. Of course, this devastated our family. She was in intensive care for several days, then had to go through several months of physical&speech therapy. I watched my momma fight back from this major set back in her life. She had to learn to walk again, and talk again. She never gave up, or complained. She was amazing, and truly became my hero. Due to the stroke, she had 40% brain damage. Did the damage change her? Of course it did, she had short term memory loss. She acted different in alot of ways, but one thing always remained the same, she was my dear momma. My feelings for her only grew stronger, and I loved her more and more. I praise God for taking care of my momma on that day in April, He performed a miracle, and He allowed my momma to stay with us. I know how close she came to death, and I know we were witness to a beautiful miracle. My precious momma passed away on April 21 2006, I will never forget the strength, will power, and great faith that she showed during her lifetime.
