Lies Women Believe-Assignment 6

Assignment 6
Reading: Read Chapter Four. Read pages 91-114.
Questions: I have decided not to give any discussion questions this week. This chapter is lengthy. For your posts next week, share what is on your heart at that time for Chapter Four. : Satan tells us that we can sin, and get away with it. That is such a lie, if you play with fire, you will get burned. All the way to your soul, a deep scorching burn. Satan tries to make us think that sinning is such a pleasure. Well, those few moments of pleasure that you may experience, are not worth spending eternity in hell. If you overeat, overspend, drink too much, have a sharp tongue, or a critical spirit, you may think those are little sins, and really do not matter. Wrong!! Sin is sin. When you go your own way, and go against God, that is sin, and it is a very big deal. Nothing can wash your sins away except the love, and mercy of Jesus. We are powerless to save ourselves, only Jesus can change us. Through Jesus, we can experience victory over sin.

These are serious thoughts...true but serious. We are too live a victorious life...it can only be done with the help of our Father. And you hit it right on the button when you said only Jesus can change us.
It can either be easy when we bend our knee...or hard if we stand in pride.

You are so right. Sin is sin is sin is sin. And I am convicted with a sharp word, over eating, and so, so many more. Thankfully, I am repentant and forgiven, and allowed a new merciful day. Great post. xxxooogretchen

Hello my friend. Thank you for your thought provoking post on our latest chapter. You are so right when you say it doesn't matter how little the sin is, it really does matter.
Praise God He has provided victory through Christ's death and resurrection! As a believer, I know that I can never lose my salvation because He cannot go back on His word. But knowing that we are sinful natured creatures that constantly struggle with sin, He graciously provided us with the ability to experience victory over sin through His Son's resurrection.

My chains are gone, I've been set free!
