Thankful Thursday-My Momma

Monday April 21, will be the two year anniversary of my mommas passing away. I am dedicating this Thankful Thursday to her memory.1) I am thankful that on March 6, 1933 my dear momma was born, she was such a sweet blessing to her family. 2)I am very thankful that God blessed me, by choosing her to be my momma. 3) I am thankful for the way she loved me, and cared about me. 4) I am thankful for all the laughter we shared. 5) I am thankful for all the tears she wiped away. 6) I am thankful for all the encouragement she gave to me, she was my biggest cheerleader. 7) I am thankful for all the times she watched over me when I was sick. 8) I am thankful that she lived with me, we shared some wonderful times. 9) I am thankful that she loved my husband like a true son. 10) I am thankful that she honored me, by wanting me to be her caregiver in the last several months of her life. 11) I am forever thankful that God blessed me by letting me lead my momma to Him, I know she is in heaven. Praise God. 12) I am thankful that I was the one that found her on the day she passed away, I was home alone with her. Walking in her room, and realizing that she was gone, was the worst thing I have ever experienced. Talking to her, and have her not answer me. Putting my head on her chest, and hearing no heartbeat, was a very numbing, and heartbreaking event for me. But, I was able to lay down on the bed beside her, hug her up close to me, and cry like a baby, my mommas baby. I told her over, and over how very much I loved her, and I thanked her for being such a great momma to me. I know God allowed me to be the one to find her, so I could have that time alone with her, His way of giving me some closure. Thank You precious Lord.13) Last, but by no means least, I am thankful that one day, my momma and I will have a beautiful reunion. All those hugs, and sweet butterfly kisses, that I miss so very much, will be mine for eternity. Praise God!!

Hello my precious Denise. What an awesome and heartfelt post. Thank you for sharing your mother with me. I am so thankful that you had time alone with her. That was my blessing with David that morning as I found him. It gave us final time together for me to say good bye for a little while and that I would meet him again in heaven when my days on this earth are over.

Your tribute to your mother is simply beautiful. You are your mother's daughter, my precious friend.

I Love you, Denise!
