Sunday Praise And Worship

Photobucket

Sunday's Praise and Worship is: Acts 17:11- These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.: I wish that we were as fired up, and as eager to learn the scriptures as the Bereans were. They did not just listen to what someone told them, and believe every single word. They searched the scriptures for themselves, they made sure they were being told the truth, before they believed. They wanted to hear the word, and continually feast upon it. It was true food for their heart and soul. So many of us today, are starving from lack of Godly wisdom. But, it is a self imposed starvation, the precious word of God is readily available, and very much within our reach. We are just not willing, for various selfish reasons, to search the precious word of God, that can, and will sustain our life's. It is filled with so much wisdom, it is truly a road map for us to follow, and if we will follow it, we will find eternity.

the Bible remains our road map on how to live our earthly lives. we'll never go wrong if we follow it.

How true that we need to search the Scriptures and feast on them. We do not live by bread alone but by every word from the mouth of God. May God help us to seek Him, read His Words and apply them in our lives so that we can live for His glory. Take care. Hope you have a blessed Lord's day.

Dear Sister that was a powerful and just humbling quote right there...

People have been martyred for trying to share the Word of God; Peopel were martyred for translating the Word of God and yet, the most daunting task is to read the Word of God.

It's like complaining of hunger while standing before a buffet and not partaking of the food before us.

Dear Sister..I love you SO much! This just really humbled me so much and made me really think...How much am I truly allowing God's word to feed me and not just eating for the sake of eating but fully embracing His word and allowing His Word to fufill what nothing else can.

I am glad to see that you are too searching the word.
And I agree with you--that the church today would learn and hunger for the word.
I don't know if you watch Charles Stanley--but today was great. If you get a chance to watch him this evening-do.
He talked about what we should do to prepare ourselves to get all out of the word we can. He used a passage in Nehemiah.
We went to a home service with our former pastor today. It was good.

May my life reflect how precious the Word of God is to me! Thank you for the reminder to treasure and be thankful for such a precious gift.

Ah... so sad but so very true. We don't seek God's word as we should. My prayer today is that I would be more convicted to spend more time in God's Word.
