Miracle Monday

God is always watching over us, never doubt that for one second. I have a miracle to prove that fact. Several years ago, my niece was living with us. She was trying to lose some weight at the time, and had started running. One evening, she came into my room, and asked me if I wanted to go to the track with her. Her friend had planned on going with her, but was not going to be able to make it. I almost said no, was really not feeling up to going. But, I decided to go, I did not want her to be alone at the track. When we got there, I could not believe how dark the track area was. We started walking, and then she asked if it would be ok, if she started running. I told her that was fine, so away she went, while I continued to walk. As I got halfway around the track, I heard voices. The voices were male, and were coming from the woods beside the track. The words I heard them saying, brought great fear to my heart, they were watching my niece and I. They were deciding which one was going to have my niece, and which one was going to have me. I started running, I caught up with my niece. I took her hand in mine, and I spoke these words as calmly as I could. I said, sweetie, there are some guys in the woods watching us. They want to hurt us, please do not be afraid. I promised her that I would not let anything happen to her, I would have given my life for her. I told her to quickly go get in her car, and start it up. She started running again, and right as she got to the car, I saw the four guys walking up towards the track. She got in the car, and started it. Just as I reached the car, opened the door, and got in, there they were. I told her to floor it, and she did. We were both crying, and praying. God was with us that night, He kept us safe. I praise Him for His love and protection. I found out later, that two months before, at that track , a girl had been ganged raped by four guys that had pulled her into the woods. They beat her severely, and raped her. Miracles do happen my friends, and I am so thankful for them.

You have seen the hand of God girl-- you should write a book.
I am sure we would be surprised to hear these same types of things from others. Maybe some have not realized that it was the hand of God protecting them.
I have heard of stories like this where the attackers turned away because they saw the angels of the Lord in disguise. We know that they were there that night with you too.

Wow- what a story. Obviously there was a reason your nieces friend canceled and you ended up going. Amazing story.

Have you ever wondered why your hearing was so good that night? You know those guys must have been talking very quietly, if not in a whisper. Maybe it was just that mother's ear thing most of us have, but more likely it was the Father's voice. ;o)

Thanks for sharing your story. It will serve as a reminder to all of us to be more aware of our surroundings even in places where we usually feel safe.

Wow! That is an amazing story! We never know how God is at work in our lives.

One time, when I was about 14, I was sleeping in my bed next to my open window. I awoke to a man's voice and a women's voice and they were saying,"What should we do? If we go in, we will wake them!"

I was terrified to look outside, so I ran to wake up my parents. They sprang out of bed and went all over the house. My dad found the garage door to the outside standing wide open just feet from where I had heard those voices.

I am a sound sleeper...what if I hadn't woken up? God was on watch that night!
