The aim of "Memory Verse Monday" is to:1. Memorize a passage (or passages) of scripture.2. Share why you have chosen the verse or verses that you have.3. Encourage one another with what God has been saying to you through this verse.4. Share the ways in which you find remembering verses works for you. Last week I chose to memorize: I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. (Ps 4.8) Last week was a very rough week for me, I had an appointment with a new diabetic specialist, on the same day as my precious mommas birthday. But, all of that went well, thanks to the love and care of my precious Father. On Friday, I received a call from my new doctor saying that she needed to talk to me about some of the lab results. I have to call them back today for the results, so it was a weekend of waiting and wondering. Add to that, I was terribly sick all weekend with my stomach. But, through it all, God continues to watch over me, and keep me safe. I am able to rest my weary head down upon the precious pillow of my Fathers love. Such sweet peace He gives me. This week I choose to memorize: Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also, will appear with Him in glory. (Col 3.2-4) Come back next Monday to see what this verse has meant to me.

You have so much amazing courage Denise. I have had you on my mind and in my prayers a lot today, knowing that you will be phoning the Drs to find out why they wanted to make contact with you. God's grace and hand be upon that call in Jesus' name, Amen. May you be hidden deep under the wings of Jesus!
I'll be praying for you Denise! Hiding God's word in your heart is so important! May His word bring you comfort and peace today!

I like how you said, "I am able to rest my weary head down upon the precious pillow of my Father's love." What a wonderful resting place indeed!
