The aim of "Memory Verse Monday" is to:1. Memorize a passage (or passages) of scripture.2. Share why you have chosen the verse, or verses that you have.3. Encourage one another with what God has been saying to you through this verse.4. Share the ways in which you find remembering verses works for you. Last week I memorized: But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield. (Ps 5.11-12): I praise God for always taking such great care of me. He keeps me safe through all situations in my life. He is a wonderful constant in my life, He always rushes to defend me. I love Him so very, very much. He is the joy of my life, and I will forever praise Him. This week I choose to memorize: I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. (Ps 4.8) Come back next Monday, to see what this verse has meant to me.

Thank you for the kind words of encouragement. I have much to learn on blogging but I will hang in there!
I'm also very interested in hearing about your cataract experience, if you don't mind sharing with me in an email. You were very young to have one, too, but then, I have always had such bad eyesight and I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I will be glad to be able to see again, I can tell you that.
I see that I'm not too far north of you in Tennessee. We just love it here although I do miss my Texas!

I enjoyed your Memory Verse Monday. Those are some great scriptures and words to live by. I read your previous 2 post's and the kind things you have done are just great. You are a wonderful person and a great friend as well. I'm so glad that you and Eddie were able to go to the Park and enjoy and have a good time together. Sounds like yall had a wonderful time together. It was so nice here this weekend as well. It got up to 73 degrees yesterday. It's all about to change and turn cold again tho. I love this Memory Verse. I have this image of nestling up somewhere aware from strife, trouble whatever, with God as the Watchman at the door. A place where we are secure, safe, cosy and can rest. Beautiful. I also loved the post about you blowing bubbles in the Park and having that wonderful time. In fact whenever I think of you I see you charging around a park with one of these multi bubble blowers, and I love the joyful image.
