The aim of "Memory Verse Monday" is to:1. Memorize a passage (or passages) of scripture.2. Share why you have chosen the verse, or verses that you have.3. Encourage one another with what God has been saying to you through this verse.4. Share the ways in which you find remembering verses works for you. Last week I memorized: We love because He first loved us. If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. – 1 John 4:19-20 If we cannot love one another, how can we possibly love God? We must try to show love for our brothers and sisters, that is what God expects from us, and that is the least we can do, after all that He has done for us. This world is full of hurting people looking for love, a safe haven. We need to reach out with open arms, invite them into our family circle, the precious family of God. To truly love God, you must love others, for God is love. This week I choose to memorise: But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield. (Ps 5.11-12) Stop by next Monday to see what God has been saying to me about these verses.
