Intentional Living: 8 In 2008

My sweet friend Elisa over at http://www.extravagantgrace.net/ has a wonderful idea to get us motivated. I am happy to be joining in on this, it is called intentional living:8 in 2008. This is what she says about it on her blog: How would you like to join me for8 in 2008?
Are you looking for an opportunity to live intentionally? Are you determined to not let another year go by just wishing and hoping for worthwhile change? Then 8 in 2008 may be just the inspiration you need!Play Along...It is easy to play along. Just pick out 8 things you'd like to see, do, feel, or experience in 2008! Your list can be spiritual, physical, or emotional, but hopefully not too material! If the Lord leads you, dream big as you share your heart's desires with Him along with a willingness to see His work accomplished in you and through you in 2008.Some Ideas...Here's a sneak preview at my partially formed list, just to give you some ideas:
Memorize at least 8 Scriptures.
Get all our photo albums and scrapbooks up to date (I'm way behind and willing to scrap scrapbooking just to get us caught up!!)
Be able to run 8 laps around the track by December 2008.
Pray for my friends and family members to know the love and extravagant grace of Jesus on the 8th of every month.
...You'll just have to come back by on January 8thto see my remaining 8 in 2008 list!Get Thinking & Praying...So, get those thinking caps on and spend some time bruising your knees in prayer to see what should be your 8 in 2008! Remember, it is your list and may be all about "8" or just 8 things that are important to you in this season of your life. Once you have your list in shape, post about it at your blog, then come back here to link up on January 8th! Accountability Ahead...To keep us going on 8 in 2008, especially for the kind of things that require a little (or a lot) of self-discipline, we'll do an update on the 8th of every month. Mark your calendars, ladies, so that you won't forget to swing back to Extravagant Grace to post a link to your blog! We're in this intentional, grace-filled living together!

This idea seems to be going around.

Mom gave us all a journal for Christmas and we were to list 101 things that we would like to do or achieve before we meet our maker.
I could only come up with 15. And that pushed my brain.

But I do want to meet some goals this year.

What a nice idea, a neat twist on the traditional resolutions.

Denise, I'm so glad to have you join in! So sorry I haven't been by your blog. Life has just been too busy. I think I need to add a 9th to my list--to build in a bit of margin time when nothing is scheduled! But I'm glad to be hosting this accountability group! I certainly need it!

Blessings and love,
Elisa
