Diabetes Awareness Month

November is diabetes awareness month, this is something very important to me. As most of you know, I have diabetes, and I am dealing with several of the problems associated with this disease. My oldest brother, my sister, and my nephew also have diabetes, and my dad was recently diagnosed with it. My paternal grandmother, who is no longer with us, also had it. So, as you obviously can tell, it is very much a genetic disease. My heart goes out to anyone dealing with this disease, and I will never stop praying for a cure. All during the month of November, I will be sharing information about diabetes.

This is very important, Denise and this disease is part of me as well. Recently, I have been feeling as if I need to cut back on my sugars and white breads and such. My grandmother and my dad and sister have it and I have recently been testing low.(62-84) So, not good. And, I do not want to end up like my grandmother. Through a variety of health problems, she died paralyzed completely and she stayed that way for years before she died. So, I MUST take it seriously and I join you in praying for a cure. I believe I will post about Diabetes Awareness sometime today or tomorrow! Thank you, my friend!

Love you,
Julie
