Delighting In The Details

Lori @ http://allyouhavetogive.blogspot.com/ is doing this meme on her blog. Here is what she says about it: There have been several requests to make this into a weekend retreat of sorts....there really is not much to it, I have for several weekends (7 to be exact) captured a 'detail' from my week and tried to see it, how God would have me see it. Some of my past reflections are here and here.....It has been a way for me to think about those 'little things' that sometimes elude me, and how there is so often a BIGGER message, if I just take the time to see it! I have decided to join her in this: This week much of my time, was spent going over the details from my eye doctor appointment. The news was very disappointing, and discouraging. The doctor basically gave up on me, but that is ok. My true Physician will never give up on me. I came home from the doctor, and cried. But, God gently wiped my tears away, and quickly restored my hope. He is my true vision in this world, and daily lights my path. I will be going to a new eye doctor for a second opinion, and no matter what the final outcome, my eyes are focused upon my precious Father God.
Be Thou my vision, oh Lord of my heart,Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art,Thou my best thought by day, or by night,Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light,Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my true word,I ever with Thee, and Thou with me Lord,Be Thou my breastplate, my sword for the fight,Be Thou my armour, and be Thou my might,Riches I need not, nor man's empty praise,Thou my inheritance, now and always,Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,High king of heaven, my treasure Thou art, High king of heaven, when battle is done,Grant heaven's joy to me, oh bright heaven's sun,Christ of my own heart, whatever be fall,Still be my vision, my ruler of all.

I know it must be so hard to go through this time. My dad recently went blind. It has been such a hard time for him. I admire your spirit. You keep blogging and giving it all to God. What an inspiration to the rest us!

Dear Denise,
I'm so happy that you allowed God to wipe away your tears and restore your hope. I've seen God work miracles before and I'll continue to pray and hold faith with you.
God bless

You are right to see the detail in 'the Physician'....not the doctors here, but YOUR PHYSICIAN who is holding you in the palm of HIS hand! I was on the way to a meeting at church this morning and I heard the new Mercy Me song, and I had checked my blog before I left, but did not have time to comment and now I know why, when the song came on...I thought and prayed for you and your eyes...
Having a gram who lost her eyesight due to infection, I have a place in my heart for you...
thank you for sharing, I hope you feel the prayers!
~peace Denise,

Dear Denise my Sister my Friend. I have not visited your blog for a couple of days. just read the report. Your gifts are so tresured in the encouragement your are. All of the suffering in this world is to turn around and glorify HIM> It is not about us. It can be so trying so frusterating to have to trust and not be able to fix. I know the fix is in the other whelm for us. This is temporal. The vision you have is far greater than the 20/20 so many see as perfect sight. It is often they who are the blind among us. I can only know the suffering and stress this is posing for you and Eddie. May His comfort embrace booth of you. Do what you can now to prepare. Learn as much as you can. Pursue seeing eye dog and such. Contact a agency for the blind in your city. Do what you can while you are able to see this much.. I love you. Sweetie use the strength that is the gift of anger, to work to tack for this day.
