A thru Z=A is for angels

I got this wonderful idea from Elisa over at extravagant grace. Here is what she says about it:A thru Z is going to be my grand experiment of recording the new things God is teaching me—those unexpected truths, possibly a few deep thoughts, and maybe some light-hearted, won’t-mean-a-thing-in-a-year moments where I see a different side of myself, appreciate something new about a loved one, take notice of the previously insignificant, or even glimpse another side of my Holy God. As I move through each letter of the alphabet, I’ll record what each letter stands for from this new perspective with the hopes of leaving a legacy of lessons.Maybe you’ll decide to join me in this unpredictable, time-frame-less writing adventure, and we can learn together, about what it means to look at life A thru Z. Angels-Here are some activities the Bible ascribes to angels:A. They praise God (Psalm 148:1,2; Isaiah 6:3).B. They worship God (Hebrews 1:6; Revelation 5:8-13).C. They rejoice in what God does (Job 38:6-7).D. They serve God (Psalm 103:20; Revelation 22:9).E. They appear before God (Job 1:6; 2:1).F. They are instruments of God's judgments (Revelation 7:1; 8:2).G. They bring answers to prayer (Acts 12:5-10).H. They aid in winning people to Christ (Acts 8:26; 10:3).I. They observe Christian order, work, and suffering (1 Corinthians 4:9; 11:10; Ephesians 3:10; 1 Peter 1:12).J. They encourage in times of danger (Acts 27:23,24).K. They care for the righteous at the time of death (Luke 16:22).Angels are entirely a different order of being than humans. Human beings do not become angels after they die. Angels will never become, and never were, human beings. God created the angels, just as He created humanity. The Bible nowhere states that angels are created in the image and likeness of God, as humans are (Genesis 1:26). Angels are spiritual beings that can, to a certain degree, take on physical form. Humans are primarily physical beings, but with a spiritual aspect. The greatest thing we can learn from the angels is their instant, unquestioning obedience to God’s commands. (information from http://www.http//gotquestions?.org.) Wow, it would be wonderful, if we all tried our best to show some angel like qualities in our own lives. We should all want to worship God, every opportunity we have to do so, and praise for Him should be coming forth from our mouths continuously. We should talk to everyone about His great works, and share with them the blessings He has given to us. We should willingly, and joyfully serve God, and help lead others to Him. We should encourage others when they are heavily burdened, and pray without ceasing. Love should be shared with everyone, not just a few chosen ones. Today, try being an angel to someone, it will bless you both.

Denise! Whoo whoo! I'm so psyched to see that you've joined in on A thru Z. I love your perspective on "A" and didn't realize the scope of what the Bible says about angels. Thanks for the education!

God bless you, gal! Enjoy God's extravagant grace today.

By the way, thanks for all the precious comments you left for me today. I was truly blessed!
