Thankful Thursday

Count your blessings, name them one by one, count your many blessings, see what God has done.1) I am thankful, that I am going to be able to get a second opinion about my eyes in a couple of weeks. The eye doctor that did my cataract surgery, basically gave me all the bad news about my eyes, and then said, there is really nothing I can do for you. Well, God will work all of this out, His will be done. 2) I am thankful for a husband that loves me, regardless of the fact that my weight goes up and down like a yoyo recently, due to all of the medicine I am on. 3) I am thankful that my baby precious(my cat) is feeling much better, she no longer has a stomach virus. 4) I am very thankful for the strength God has provided me with recently to get through my health trials, He is truly carrying me. 5) I am thankful that I am able to rest in my Fathers arms whenever I need to, day or night, He is always there for me. 6) I am forever thankful for the promise of heaven. 7) I am thankful for the precious memories that I carry in my heart, and in my mind of my dear momma. I have really been missing her lately, it seems like when you are sick, you always need your momma, no matter how old you are. 8) I am thankful that I am still able to blog for now, and God willing, I will continue for a very long time. 9) I am thankful for friends, what would I do without my sweet friends. 10) I am thankful for today, thank You Lord.

Coming from someone who has gone another five years past what one opthalmologist said would be the must-have-surgery point to keep my vision legal....I empathize wholeheartedly! Second opinions are a MUST, but gratitude for each day is even more necessary; you're an inspiration!

Thanks for sharing your list with us. It is so nice to see how your faith is not shaken despite health issues. Those trials can be tough but God is so faithful to be there for us.

Today I am thankful for you, sweet friend. Thank you so much for saying that I am a wonderful mother, you have no idea how much I needed that today!

I imagine that you do miss your mother very much. I live right down the road from mine but when she is away I always wish for her to be back soon. You will see her in heaven and rejoice!

Count your many blessings is my absolute favorite song of all time! When I was going through infertility, I would sing this with tears streaming down my face and it always helped. It's hard to feel sorry for yourself when you are singing that song!

I so hope that your second opinion is a better one! I will be praying for you constantly!

Love you,
Julie
