"We are not built for the mountains and the dawns and aesthetic affinities, those are for moments of inspiration, that is all. We are built for the valley, for the ordinary stuff we are in, and that is where we have to prove our mettle."~ Oswald Chamber~ Even though, I am experiencing a valley time in my life right now, due to health problems, I am not complaining. It is in these valley times, when God teaches me so much that I need to know, to continue on my life's journey. I truly believe that God knocks me off my feet, so I will raise up on my knees, raise my arms toward heaven, and cry out to Him for help. Every time I fall down, and reach up for my Father, He picks me up, and holds me gently in His arms. He lovingly leads me through the valley times of my life, no matter how dark they get. I praise You Father for being my guide through life.

God is good and He does grow us in those valley times more than the mountaintop experiences--the mountain is where we hear the message, the valley is where we use it. :) Praying for you dear one.
Denise your posts are always such a blessing. You say so much in just a few words. I am constantly inspired by your walk with God and your faith in him through the valleys in your life. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.
You know I LOVE your posts...short and to the point!! And GOOD points too!!
"God knocks our socks off so we will raise up on our knees and raise our arms to heaven." PERFECTLY said!

" I truly believe that God knocks me off my feet, so I will raise up on my knees" OH Amen Denise. Thank you so much for participating. Have a great day.
Denise, your perseverance in "not complaining" is a shining example to us all. I love how you said when you get knocked down it's so you can get on your knees.
It is so true, Denise. When we are in the valleys of life, we grow. We depend on Him more often at those valley times than on the mountaintop.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this week's IOW quote.
Blessings to your and yours...
Thank you God for lifting us up. I'm in a valley too. I could use prayer.
Denise, I am always touched by your thoughts...especially this one today, "He picks me up, and holds me gently in His arms." Blessings on you, my friend!
Praying that God bless you in the valley and lead you to some mountain tops along the way!
What an attitude of grace you have!! Did you hear me yell hello to you when we went through your city going and coming back these past few days!! Well I did...really just ask my hubby!! We were in a quick hurry both directions. We drove about 2000 miles in all in just a few days. Still pray for my BIL Sonny. He has a long road ahead of him. Sandy
So eloquently and concisely said. Thank you!
Keep praising His name!
