Waiting to see

Well, it is now 1:00 A.M. in Chattanooga, Tennessee where I live. I have to be at the surgery center at 6:00 for my eye surgery, so what am I doing awake??? I wanted to send my friends their morning cards, that is very important to me. And, of course, it is nerves. Nervous anticipation, after such a long period of walking around in the dark, being dependant upon my dear husbands leading, of which I am forever grateful. Of course, my precious Abba has watched my every footstep, and guided my every movement. Am I scared? A bit apprehensive about what the future holds for me. My Doctor is so wonderful, and caring. He has been very upfront with me about everything. This surgery is not a cure all for me, and I totally understand that. As my Doctor said, this may not improve my vision at all, or it may improve it by 50%, or it may improve by just a tiny bit. He also said, that down the road, meaning in a few months, or years, there could be some more problems with my vision, due to my diabetes. But, you know what? I am sitting here, not knowing what the morning holds for me, or the distant future, but, there is one thing I do know for sure, my God holds my morning, and distant future securely in His dear, loving hands. I praise You Abba, no matter what, I praise You. I love you all, my dear prayer warrior friends, blessings to you all. My sweet hubby will keep you updated.

Lord, I commend your servant Denise into your hands. Give all skill to the healthcare team and if it is your will Lord, restore her sight. Comfort Denise with your everlasting love and care for her now and in the days to come. In Jesus name. Amen.

Hi Denise,

This is Brian, Allison's fiance. She asked me to check your blog as she wanted to see if there are any updates about your surgery. I hope and pray all goes well and that your vision is improved greatly. I was just telling Allison that I love your play list and what an eclectic taste you have in music, and how rare that is to find, as most people only like one or two types of music at best, but you have Rock, Country, Pop, Rap, and more. I am HUGE DC Talk fan, and I was really surprised to see you have Long Black Train by Josh Turner, that is a fantastic album. I still need to get his latest release. If you like Josh Turner, you might also really like "I Love You This Much" by Jimmy Wayne, another Country singer who is also Christian, if possible, try and find the music video on YouTube, it totally explains the message of the song, it's fantastic. But anyway, great playlist, Jars of Clay and Toby Mac too, thumbs up. Listening to "Trouble Is" now by Jars of Clay, one of my favorite songs of theirs, that whole album, "Who We Are Instead" is great. If you don't have it already, go run as fast as you can and get their latest album "Good Monsters", it is their best album to date I think. I think you'll love it. I'm a music freak, I listen to EVERYTHING, from Louis Armstrong to Johnny Cash to Ladysmith Black Mambazo to really hard punk and rock music such as P.O.D. (Payable on Death), Blindside, they are Christian bands ... but I listen to all music, not just Christian, Electric Light Orchestra, Moody Blues ... I'm sure you are familiar with them ... but yet I also love bands like The Ramones ... and of course I can't forget my very first favorite band, QUEEN, though that was my first favorite band as a teen, my true first favorite band was The Monkees (they remain a favorite of course, I have the complete series on DVD, and many of their albums) ... You know the Monkees were a big influence on the Beatles (haha, that's a joke from the movie "Dumb & Dumber") so anyways, I'd be happy to chat about music through e-mail if you like and recommend other artists you might like, and maybe you can turn me onto some cool artists that I don't know about. My e-mail is friendswithjc@yahoo.com. Anyways, thanks for being a great friend to Allison, you really mean a lot to Allison, she talks about you all the time. Again, I wish you the best and you have been in my prayers. Your faith in the face of your health issues is a true inspiration. Take care of yourself ...

Christ's Love, Brian
