Draw Near To God

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. (James 4.7-8a): Do you have moments when the devil comes creeping up on you? I am sure we all do, we are human after all. It is like a scene from a television show, where the devil is sitting on one of your shoulders, and an angel is sitting on the other. The devil says: Come on Denise, eat a piece of this chocolate devils food cake, you know you want to. Imagine how yummy it will taste, make sure you eat a really big piece. Then, the angel says: Denise, you know you do not really want that piece of cake, you have been doing so great on your diet. If you are hungry, eat a piece of fruit,do not give in to temptation. So, what do you do? I call on my God for support. He drop kicks that devil foods eating evil one back to hell where he belongs. Always remember, the closer you are to God, the further away from the devil you will be. Be blessed my friends.

Love the drop kick !
Funny thought have to wipe off you shoe. I don't know if I even lost any weight. I need to change the battery in my scale. School starts in two weeks and walking will be easier.

I know those times that I am closer to God he helps me see the sin in my life or the areas where I am being tempted to sin.

I love what you said about drop kicking the devil. I had have my monents like that on more than one occassion. One thing for sure as long as I continue to draw close to God, I will not be a victim of temptation, but a victor over it.

PS - Thanks for your kind words on my blog.

Stay bless and stay strong
