All Women Blogging Carnival-Joy

Have you ever known anyone that was a joy stealer? I mean they walk into a room, and it seems like the joy begins to evaporate from the room immediately. Your heart that was so filled with joy a few minutes ago, begins to deflate like a balloon, and sadness begins to seep in. I feel so sorry for these type of people, they really need prayer. I never want to be known as a joy stealer, I prefer to be a joyer giver. When I see someone smile, it makes me smile even bigger. If I see someone without a smile, I always want to give them one of my smiles. The joy of the Lord is my strength, He fills my heart to overflowing. I pray that all the days of my life, joy will flow forth from my heart into other hearts, and we will start a flood of joy throughout the world.

Dear Denise,

That is such a beautiful post. You need to write a book you have a great way of putting little posts that get to the heart of things. You are so right about being happy and what that joy stealer's need prayer. Thanks so much for joining in as I said it is my first time with the group too. I have been getting caught up on all my posts and everything else around here this weekend . Hope you enjoyed yours. You are my joy .

Hugs and Love,

What a sweet and encouraging post, Denise. I agree - there are some people that just 'drain' the joy out of a room--they do need encouragement.
Be blessed today and always.

I love the way a genuine smile can change a person's attitude in a heartbeat. Even a simple thank you, can brighten a person's day.

I am participating in the All Women Blogging Carnival too!

What a great post. I know I want to be one of those people who lights the room up with joy. I want people to say "Wow, what is she so happy about?" because then maybe I can share Jesus with them!

Wow! I came here from the All Women Blogging Carnival and I just read a post on peace.

This post is on joy.

These are two concepts that it took me a while to understand.

I think that the desire to be a joy giver is a good one!

I haven't been over here in a few days...missed you!
I agree with you...I don't want to be a joy stealer, nor someone that people "dread" to see coming! I know a few of both :(
God wants us to be His light into this dark world. I pray too that we can be a "flood" of joy throughout the world! I enjoy reading your posts!
Be blessed!

DEnise, I do not like that either. I always like to give my smiles away too and especially to those that do not seem to have any of their own. If fact, I will go out of my way to make them smile back at me!! I think it is a fun thing to do.
Lately though I really do not feel like smiling. This ole' sore throat thingy is awful!! I wish that it would just take itself somewhere else.
I agree with Pearls of Wisdom. You should write a book. You would be very good at it.
