1) What is your life verse? Philippians 4:13-I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 2) What is the best Bible study you have ever done? Breaking Free by Beth Moore. 3) Give a little bit of your testimony. My childhood was filled with sadness, when I was ten years old, my Dad was sent to prison. My world was totally turned upside down, I was heartbroken. My Dad was gone for three years, during that time, my Mom met another man. So, when my Dad got out of prison, there was no happy homecoming. They stayed together for a very short time, then got divorced. From that point on, my life became a nightmare. I was forgotten by my parents, they only cared about their lives. I felt like a yo yo, I was tossed back and forth constantly. I would live with my Mom until my stepfather got tired of me, then she would send me to live with my Dad and one of his many wife's. Well, eventually they went to court about my custody. The Judge gave me to my Sister, I stayed with her for a few months, then back to Mom. Then, my journey to hell really began. My stepfather sexually abused me, when I told my Mom, she did not believe me. So, back to my sister for another few months. I was so lonely, and felt like there was no one that loved me. At this point, I truly considered suicide. But, I made it through, and then in November of 1984,I met my future husband Eddie. We were married in April 1985. We started going to church in July 1985. That was when my life totally changed. I asked the Lord into my heart, and was baptized. Praise the Lord for saving me, and loving me. He was watching over me all those years, I just did not realize it then. He is my true Father, He holds me in the palm of His hand. If you are lost, and feel there is no hope, please look up. Your help is close by ,just call upon the precious name of Jesus. He loves you, and wants to help you. Bless you always. 4) What do you feel is Gods calling upon your life? I feel that God has called me to be a Godly daughter to Him, and a Godly wife to my husband. He wants me to be ready, and very willing, to reach out to the lost and hurting, and share His love with them. He calls upon me to encourage people, and to always shine for Him.

Yeah - Philippians 4:13 is my life-verse too and my life line. If I get all down, I know that I just have to repeat this verse over and over.

I have to say that my best ever Bible study was "Believing God" - also by Beth Moore.

Thank you so much for sharing your testimony, Denise. He can turn everyones life around - if we let Him.

Be blessed today and always.

Y'know I gleaned most of your testimony in bits and pieces just from being friends with you all this time but I don't think you've ever laid it all out like this in one place. I've wondered if a person had to have amnesia in order to really forgive and love but I see from your testimony that you can remember the past and still forgive and still love and give God all the glory. Thanks Denise.

WOW - awesome testimony. It's amazing how our circumstances prepare us for meeting our Heavenly Father in life. Why does it have to be so dramatic? Who knows, but it's awesome to come before the father and pour our heart out to him. Thanks so much for sharing.

Denise,
I am so happy that you are my sister in Christ Jesus! He is truly the only strength we really have to be able to love and forgive those who have hurt us.
I'm happy that God sent Eddie to you. :-)

What a beautiful testimony, Denise. Leave it to God to take the incredible ugliness in your life and turn it into something incredibly beautiful. The Lord equips the called, and you, my friend, really have been called to be an encouragement--you are definitely shining for Him. ((hugs)) Gretchen
