I Am Bible Study-Lesson Seven-Who Am I?

Discussion Questions:1.)How would you answer the question, "Who Am I"? I am my heavenly Fathers daughter, saved by grace. I am an empty clay vessel, that waits everyday for my Potter to mold me into what He wants me to be. 2)Have you ever been in a situation where you felt inadequate because of your lack of a 'tagline'?Yes, when I was asked to be a church camp counselor. But, God gave me the tools I needed, and as a team, we succeeded. 3)Do you have skills or position that you believe God could use mightily if only He would? No one knows me better than God, He is the one that has blessed me with abilities and skills. So, if, and when, He chooses to use me in a mighty way, He will. 4)Have you ever lost a position or station in life you believe could have 'helped God out' with something He has asked you to do?Yes, I was an assistant youth director at my church, the youth director was a young man whom I felt by like a son, had known him and his family for years, his grandfather was our preacher. Well, he decided to leave our church for another position with a different church. The youth, and I thought for sure, that I would become the youth leader when he left. I was very close to the youth, they were all 'my kids'. But, the church brought in a man from another church, and his wife to be the new youth leaders. I was crushed, but Gods ways , are not our ways. He knows what He is doing, and He will lead me in the right direction. 5)How are you with your dialogue vs doubt conversations with God? Which does God hear most from you?God mostly hears dialogue from me, I turn all my doubts and fears over to Him for safe keeping. 6)Do you believe God's wonders become more wonderful if they originate in the ordinary?I believe this with all of my heart, God can take the ordinary, and make it extraordinary. Any scripture references come to mind?Matthew chapter 1:18-20: 18.Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.
19.And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man and not wanting to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly.
20.But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 3:20- Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.

I love your answers. Especially the part where you say your the clay and you wait for Him to mold you everyday. I love that :)

Your ready, willing, confident in God heart is such a blessing to me. It is encouraging to read that even through the lose of the youth director position you are looking for God to lead you in the right direction. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for sharing that story. I've experienced something similar but God really does have a reason for every position He allows or doesn't allow us to be in. Blessings

"I am an empty clay vessel, that waits everyday for my Potter to mold me into what He wants me to be." There is a song that runs along these same themes I love that song

Yes if God was able to use a young girl like Mary in such a special way He has the ability to use any of if us if He wants to

I, too, really thought about Jesus' "beginning" with Mary as an ordinary-to-extraordinary event. Isn't this like the biggest present you never stopped opening?! The more I learn, the more I'm so besotted with our Lord.
