Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for:1)Lisa's wonderful Bible study, titled I am. 2)Non-judgemental people. 3)My husband that stands by my side through the good times, and the bad times. 4)Adversity, for it makes me stronger. 5)Jesus leading me through this first year of being without my mother, on Saturday, April 21, it will be one year since she passed away. 6)Jesus never being to busy to listen to me, He always answers knee mail, and is only a prayer away. 7)Having a good Doctor, who really tries to help me with my diabetes. 8)Being able to have my eye surgery on July 30. 9)Beautiful flowers, they always make me feel better. 10)Jesus, my precious Saviour.

Thinking of you on the 21st, for sure.
I'm so happy you got everything worked out and can have the surgery done after all.

I joined Lisa's study but won't be able to join in until next week.
Please pray that my trip goes well--I'm nervous about leaving Jackson!

Blessings~

Hi sweet Denise,

I didn't know you have diabetes, my mom has type 11. It eases my heart to know that you are going to have your eye surgery and know that I will be praying for you on that day. May God hold you in the palms of His hands all the days of your life. Hugs..

Denise, I just read your thankful list. I find we have more in common every day.. this time with our childhoods. I forgave my parents too so I understand exactly what you are saying regarding your mom. I need to get further into Lisa's bible study. Will you pray for me that nothing will come in the way of me participating in that Bible Study?

You are in my heart and prayers,
Hugs,
Bonnie

What an awesome list.

As I was reading it I wanted to read a few more posts.....and was so touched by your post, About My Mom. How beautifully you describe the freedom found in forgiveness. And how awesome is our God that He takes our pain and uses it for His glory!

I am planning a series on Overcomers. The thought occured to me this morning as I was posting my own TT. Could I post your story, About My Mom, as one of the first in the series? It holds profound and deeply moving words! Maybe you've written about it before....in which case...let me know. I'd love to kick-off the Overcomers series with such a profound testimony of what an Overcomer truly looks like!!!!

Wonderful list ... just full of thankfulness is all areas of life.
Ya, know I read the post about your mom. Forgiveness is absolutely the best gift YOU can give SOMEONE ELSE -- but actually its the BEST GIFT WE GIVE OURSELVES. Praying that the Lord will comfort you in a mighty way this weekend ... He's there.

This is a beautiful list Denise. I pray the Lord will be your strength and comfort as you approach the one year anniversary of your Mom's death. I know it is so very difficult.
Is your eye surgery related to your diabetes? My husband has had several eye surgeries because of his diabetes. We were fortunate to have wonderful doctors.

Denise,

I am thankful for you as well sweet one! I am so happy you are able to have your eye surgery. My MIL suffers from diabetes and I struggles with vision so I know how hard it is to cope with.

A verse for you:
"But as for me it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds." Psalm 73:28

Bless you today...
