Busyness is not a spiritual gift.:Spiritual gifts are a means of serving in the Body of Christ. Gifts are not to exalt the person who has the gift; they are to enable that person to serve other believers. "As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God" (1 Pet. 4:10).How can we serve God, if we are running around in circles at warp speed? People are so focused upon how much they can accomplish, and how quickly they can accomplish it. We need to slow down, take a deep breath, and inhale the goodness of God. Rest in His arms, let Him renew your heart, and mind. Spend time soaking up the precious word of God, and then spread those precious words around. Please do not be so busy, that you let opportunities to lovingly serve God, pass you by. Take time to enjoy this beautiful life, that God so graciously gave you.

It sounds like many forget that we're building a Kingdom of God, not a multi-billion dollar business.
You're right. Let's slow down and get clear direction!

"How can we serve God, if we are running around in circles at warp speed?" Well said and amen! Thanks for sharing.
well written my friend
I find living in the Bay much easier to take it easy and not live as if on a roller coaster as I use to feel like in Auckland
really great and concise way to put it! I agree with you 100%!
"Inhale the goodness of God." I LOVE that, Denise! What a great post--you're so right.
Blessings~
Well written and thoughtful post. Yes I have found where I have had to slow down and focus. Thank you for the scripture. Blessings this week my dear friend.

This is very true, I like how you laid out what a Spiritual gift is, and what it is not.
Great post.
I needed to 'hear' that today. ;-)
Beautifully said. Spending time with God needs to be first and then everything else will fall onto place. Thanks for posting, Denise!
short, sweet and to the point!
Great post!
Wow, it's exactly how I've been feeling these past few days. When my mind feels like a busy highway, I just have to stop, I can't do a thing. I go to God's word and prayer and stay out of other things until I can see more clearly. Thanks for the e-cards and notes, it means alot. I prayed for your weekend.
pssst, check my blog post today!
I so agree with you, Denise. If we are running in circles, we soon will run on empty.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this week's quote.
Blessings to you and yours.
It is so important to slow down, I have severe anxiety issues so I really am unable to go at the speed in which most americans operate. It is so true that if you are too busy you will miss out on opportunities to serve God, not because you don't want to serve God but you have all these other things racing around in your head.. all these other things save God. Thinking of you... Lori
So true! Thanks for the encouragement
Great post. God wants us to take the time to be silent and enjoy his blessings. God Bless.
Great post.....you are so right we need to take time to enjoy our lives.
Blessings
