My Turn

Happy Monday everyone, praying that everyone will have a week that is filled to overflowing with Gods blessings. Well, Eddie is feeling better, and now, I am sick with what he had. I pray that I am feeling better by Saturday, that is when we are going to Alabama to visit moms grave for Christmas. I am taking dayquil, and nyquil. Anyone have suggestions for something to take that helps you get over this quick? My symptoms are sneezing, running nose, stopped up nose, and sore throat. I would appreciate any suggestions. Please take care, and remember, God loves you very much.

Aw sweety, I'm sorry you're sick! I don't know if this will help now or not, but I take 500mg of vitamin C every day. Since I started doing this about 2 years ago I haven't had a single cold. (But now I'm terrified that when I finally do it's gonna be a doozy.) Hope you're feeling better by the weekend, I know how much it means to you. Love ya.

I am thankful that I don't get sick too often, but when I do I try to take the nyquil too. Other than that I recommend, what else, but HOT TEA and plenty of rest. Drink plenty of other fluids also.

Aww Im sorry you aren't feeling well!

What works for me, honestly, are two things. Zicam and ColdEase. Zicam comes in a spray for your mouth, or dissolveable tablets, both work GREAT if taken when you first notice you are getting sick - same with the Cold Ease which look like cough drops. Another thing which is good is if you take a Halls honey lemon cough drop, and plop it into some hot tea and let it dissolve - clears me right up :)

HOPE THAT HELPS!!!

You would need to check with your doctor first but I've had success using a combination of Vit. C, Zinc, Elderberry and Echanasia. They are all available in tablet form at your local Wal-Mart on the Vitamin isle in the Health and beauty section.
