Happy Anniversary To Me
Hello dear friends, praying you are smiling, and feeling great. Well, I just got home from the hospital late yesterday evening. Started getting sick Friday night, just kept getting worse. Finally, on Sunday, my anniversary, Eddie had to take me to the ER. As soon as we got there, they admitted me into ICU. I was very sick with diabetic ketoacidosis. I went into a regular room Tuesday, came home yesterday. Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is an acute, major, life-threatening complication of diabetes that mainly occurs in patients with type 1 diabetes.

WOW lady! You sure have been through many health crisis and survived! Praise God!
Thank You Lord for bringing Denise through this DKA and asking You to strengthen and help her in every way, in every thing, and complete her healing in Jesus' name ... for it is written and we are confident that, "He who began a good work in Denise ... will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus"(Phil. 1:6)

Dear Denise,
Sorry to hear that you have had some physical struggles, the Lord bless you and draw you ever so close to Himself.
Happy Anniversary wishes to you and your hubby even if they are late. My husband and I have our anniversary in April as well. We will celebrate our 35th this year. You do not hear of many anniversaries in April. I think it is because the weather is still not the nicest.
Have a beautiful and blessed day.

So sorry to hear that your weekend/anniversary was messed up with sickness. Glad your home. Hope you are doing well. God bless, Lisa :0)
I am so sorry that you've been so sick. My husband has had ketone issues in the past, too. I am able to smell them on his breath when it is becoming an issue. Thankfully, he has never had to be admitted to the hospital because of them since we've been married.
However, his introduction to diabetes when he was 14 years old was a ketosis-induced coma. He doesn't know how long he was out, but it took him over a year to fully recover from that coma.
I hope that you're going to be okay. You are in my prayers. {{{Hugs}}}
Praying! Sending love!
Praying for a speedy recovery - By HIS stripes, ye are healed!
I'm so glad Your feeling better and that God protected and ministered to You in the hospital.Love Denise
Praying for your fast & complete recovery! Love to you,
Laurie
Dear Denise, First, thank you so much for catching up on all my posts. Second: I too have type 1 diabetes and I have to check my blood sugars 7-9 times a day to avoid hypoglycemia, which is the opposite of DKA. Because I check so often and take the appropriate measures when my sugars get too high, I have avoided what you just went through. I know many don't have the good health insurance I have and therefore can't check as often as I do, as strips are expensive. I'm writing all this because I care, because I hope you can find a way to better monitor your blood sugars, change your diet, or do whatever is necessary to avoid this in the future. Take care.
praying for full recovery and that God would redeem the celebration that was interrupted!
Get well soon.
Oh Denise, I am glad you are better. That was a dangerous time. You still have some fun work to do here on earth, I think, so best prayers for recovery.
I'm so glad to hear from you, dear friend. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. Love and Hugs
Denise I am so sorry this happened to you. Praying for you
