FMF-Present

Every morning when we wake up, we are blessed with a gift. It is called the present, and we should carefully unwrap it, and be thankful for it. Quit looking back at the past, and trying to look ahead into the future. Instead, accept the present that you have been blessed with. If you are not happy with your present, work on it.  It is yours, do not give it away, or constantly complain about it. Think of it as an art project, be creative with your present. Add a little bit more of yourself to the present everyday. Eventually, you will learn to love this present you have created.

I strive to be one that doesn't complain about anything in life [but politics and our government keeps me from my goal!!!]

Dear Denise
Having a chronic illness (Fm/CFS), I had to learn to live in the present like I am sure you certainly had to do as well! It can be overwhelming to look at the future that might always be filled with pain.
Luv to you XX
Mia

"Think of it as an art project . . . "
Such a lovely idea! Thanks for stopping by my place. "Fabulous" is a word I'd never apply to myself, so it meant a lot!

Living in the present, something I worked on all my life, only became real after I retired and moved to this peaceful place in the country. You are right though, we have to work on our present, always. Thank you for these wise words.

So true! It's so easy to get wrapped up in the past or anxious about the future and miss what's right in front of us!

Where in Tennessee? I am in Chattanooga.
If I didnt have my God to teach me, and for me to trust Him, I couldnt make it through one single day. God bless you and have a Happy Friday and weekend.
