Five Minute Friday-Fall

Oh, how the mighty fall. We have all heard that saying many times during our life. But, my friends, it is not just the mighty that fall. Anyone can take a fall, at anytime. Just when you think your footing is secure, down you go. You never know how long you will stay down, it could be minutes, hours, days, months, years, even a lifetime!! Ultimely, the answer is in your hands. You can lay their in self pity forever, or get off your butt, and start moving on in a new direction. God never promised us a rose garden, there are many thorns along our path. The secret is, pick the thorns off your hurting body, throw them to hell where they belong, and allow new roses to bloom. Fall down, get up, it can be great exercise. For your body, mind, heart, and spirit. Do not give up, get back up my friend!!

Over here from Five Minute Friday.

Great post. Liked the part where you said "God never promised a rose garden, there are many along the way." So true.

Amen to this one; I loved your thoughts. This was a encouraging post. We do need to pick ourselves up every time we fall and keep going.

Beautiful & so inspirational, Denise! It is not how often we fall, but Whom we turn to that matters. Praise God that He picks us up and sets us on His path.
Blessings to you,
Laurie

Indeed we all fall down but the choice to get back up lies with us. An encouraging read Denise.

It can be good exercise indeed...But just like any exercise, it is never easy until you get more used to it...and the longer we stay down...the harder to get back up!
Good post, my friend.

You say: "You can lay their in self pity forever, or get off your butt, and start moving on in a new direction."...AND this, your attitude and strength is what is so admirable!!

Never give up, never give in - keep putting one foot in front of the other. The Narrow Way isn't always easy to walk, and we often stumble.

But...we have some almighty Hands that are right there to lift us back up!

Like Paul said, forgetting the past we strive forward...

GOD BLESS!

I love your analogy of roses and thorns. It is the getting back up that is the victory. After we fall we are always more humble, compassionate and forgiving of ourselves and others.

Such truth here..

Yes indeed - life is thorny. But, we know the Rose of Sharon (!!), and HE carries us through the thickest thickets, the deepest and darkest storms, and the scariest of valleys.

Love HIM!!

(And you, too, Denise - hope you're feeling better!)

GOD BLESS!

Very inspiring. I'm trying to lose around 6 - 10 pounds and it is the most difficult! I sincerely need to work out to burn those calories.
