Day 18-Praying For My Husband

And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also." - 1 John 4:21 (NASB)

Beyond anything else, Jesus was known as a man of love. He was known as a great teacher, a miracle worker, a respected leader and a man of great faith, but above all He was known as a man who loved everyone.

He loved the poor and needy as easily as the rich and famous. He loved the social outcasts and the social elite. His love went beyond those who followed Him, even to those who would crucify Him.

The New Testament Church was known for their love as well. Those who follow after Christ will exhibit the characteristic of the one they follow. Naturally, Christians will be people of love.

Love is putting the needs of others over our own personal needs. Love says; “How can I add value to your life?” Love says; “It’s not about me, it’s about how I can help you.”

As we become more like Christ, we will experience a love for others. Love is the natural result of being a Christ follower.

As you pray for your husband today, pray that his heart is filled with a godly love that goes beyond understanding. Pray that his love grows beyond just loving family and friends, to loving all people. Pray that as he loves God, he will love others as well.

Father, I pray that eddie will have a true, godly love for others. Place within him Your love. I pray that as he continues to follow You, You will grow your love within him. Thank You for Your love. Help eddie to reflect the love you have shown him to everyone around him.In Jesus Name,
Amen

eddie, today I am praying God to release His love within you. I am praying that as you follow Christ and become more like Him, love for others will grow as well. I am praying that you will be known as a man who has love for everyone. I pray that Christ’s love within you will shine forth to everyone you meet today. love, denise
