Miracle Monday

I truly feel like my marriage is a miracle, and I would like to share the reason why with you. When I was in the sixth grade, way back in 1976, there was a boy that had a crush on me. I really paid no attention to him, because I was terribly shy, and had no self confidence. I found it hard to believe that anyone would like me, especially a boy. I remember one day my teacher asked me to stay in at recess, she wanted me to record a message, for a project our class was doing regarding the bicentennial. I was standing out in the hallway in front of a table, recording the message. All of a sudden, the boy that had a crush on me, came in from recess. He started chasing me around the table, trying to get a kiss from me, lol I kept saying: Leave me alone, go away!! He said, my name is Eddie Oldham, and I think you are so beautiful. Bless his heart. Well, fast forward to November 1984, I was 21. My life was not a very happy one, I had been through alot of heartaches. I was lonely, and praying for someone to love me, just for me. I was working at an amusement park, I ran the fun house. There was a guy that was constantly coming there every weekend, he always asked me to go out with him. I would always tell him no, but he would not give up. One day, I was at home on one of my off days, a car pulled up in the driveway, it was that guy!! He had asked someone at work where I lived, and he had one of his friends bring him to my house. I walked up to the car, and I said, what are you doing here? I said, you need to stop stalking me. His friend said, I am so sorry, I thought you knew he was coming. He had told his friend that we were dating, so I immediately set his friend straight. His friend was so sweet, well mannered, and very cute!! His name was-----------Eddie Oldham!! Can you believe that?? The guy that had chased me around the table, was now sitting here in my driveway. Well, they left, but Eddie came back later by his self. He said he really wanted to apologize for bringing Darrell over. I told him it was ok, that it was not his fault. We sat in the yard talking for hours, that is when we remembered we had went to school together. To get to the point, I fell head over heels for him. Praise God, he fell for me too!! We started dating in November 1984, he asked me to marry him in December, and we got married in April of 1985. So many people said, that our marriage would never last, that it might possibly last six months to a year. Well, just a few weeks ago, on April 6, we celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. I praise God for bringing our two lonely, hurt hearts together. Eddie was, and still remains, the perfect balm to soothe my heart. Gods timing is always perfect. Miracles can sometimes be hidden in a little boy, or girls heart felt wishes.

awwwww..that was beautiful.
It reminds me of my younger brothers meeting with his wife.

I am so glad that God gave you Eddie. I pray that He continues to draw you both together and to Himself.
I pray God continues to make Eddie a man after His own heart. And that He stays a man that your heart can safely trust in.

Love ya girl
Have a beautiful day

Thanks for sharing that sweet story. My hubby and I are high school sweethearts. Maybe I will blog about how God brought us together one day. I want you to know I keep coming here for the Hubby Encouragment posts. Thank you for sharing them. I have a great mentor who has taught me a lot about P31 women, but a lot of gals out there need this education. The books and secular magazines have it all wrong and are ruining our marriages and our homes. So a Big Thank You for sharing God's design for marriage.

What a sweet story, your life is such a gift. How captivated he is with you. It is easy to see why.
Sis sorry I have not been around recently> My days are so very full and my nights the same. The fatigue by days end leaves little blogging energy. I hope to get a post done today but we will see. God is so holy and good. I love the series you are doing and would love to join in if I had the wherewithal. So many amazing adventures are underway.
I love you and I love the story of how God has directed your days.

God had you two all paired up for years...you just had to wait or should I say Eddie had to wait!! Smile. That is great..I loved your story. That is like Mike and I. We met at 14 and started dating at 16 never to date any one else. It is still working 44 years later.
Blessings, Sandy
